Guaynabo, Puerto Rico <\/strong> – FHC de Puerto Rico, Inc. (FHC) becomes the first and only organization specialized in mental health services to obtain full accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA , for its acronym in English), for the quality of services it offers to members of Medicare Advantage health plans.<\/p>\n

NCQA is a quality seal recognized throughout the healthcare industry in the United States and Puerto Rico. This accreditation is awarded to health service organizations that meet rigorous standards that demonstrate high levels of quality in the development and implementation of initiatives that improve health services.<\/p>\n

NCQA accreditation reaffirms that FHC is the leading mental health organization in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. \u201cThis achievement demonstrates our organization’s commitment to providing the highest quality services to the beneficiaries and clients we serve. Mental health in Puerto Rico is one of the areas that needs the most attention in these times. NCQA is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to measuring, analyzing, and improving the quality processes of mental and physical health care plans, among others. NCQA accreditation assesses how well a health plan manages all parts of its service system to continually improve the care provided to members.<\/p>\n

FHC is an organization with more than 20 years of experience, specialized in the administration of mental health services (Managed Behavioral Health Organization) dedicated to optimizing opportunities and helping people in the process of obtaining a better quality of life. It is a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), one of the most prominent and respected mental health companies in the management of hospitals, mental health centers and outpatient clinics. UHS has more than 350 acute care, mental health, and outpatient clinic facilities throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and England.<\/p>\n
